Tirso Gracia began his professional practice of law in 1986. For 15 years, he was director of the Labour Department of the law firm Garcés & López-Ibor. Previously, he ran his own law firm and was responsible for the human resources department of a company in the distribution sector. His long professional career has led him to provide employment advice to a large number of companies in all economic sectors.

He has extensive experience in advising large national and international companies on a daily basis. He is used to dealing with collective bargaining processes, individual and collective dismissals, changes in working conditions and global restructuring.

Specialized in the definition of action strategies established in collaboration with the management of the HR department to achieve the appropriate orientation adapted to the needs of each company with which it collaborates. Their goal is to offer personalized service.

He has led countless personnel restructuring processes of major companies, advising them in negotiations with works councils and trade unions, as well as leading the collective bargaining of sectoral and company collective agreements.

Tirso Gracia regularly represents clients in mediation proceedings, pleading before labour courts, as well as arbitration tribunals and joint committees.

He is secretary of the “Autoocupació” Foundation, which promotes entrepreneurship and business initiative, being the founder, in 1986, of the association that gave birth to the Foundation, together with a group of young university students, concerned about the lack of entities to help create businesses.

He was president of the “Gremio de empresas fabricantes de Marroquinería” of Catalonia and a member of the Social Council of the “Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona” from 2014 to 2024.

He is currently a conciliator and mediator of collective labour disputes at the Labour Court of Catalonia, on the proposal of Foment del Treball.
